。About Persimmon dyed fabric
"Persimmon Dye" uses unripe persimmons to create a natural fermented dye.
Unlike other more common natural dye that fade over time, the rich and deep persimmon dye colors would actually retain and even deepen under sunlight exposure. The persimmon dye juice also stiffens the fabric, creating unique textures and color variations through creases and friction. Initially, it may have a slight scent and be somewhat stiff, but with time and use, the scent fades, and the fabric softens.
。Washing
The felt part doesn't get dirty easily with regular wear, so you don't need to clean it often. If you do want to wash it up, a gentle hand wash with cold water and a neutral detergent is a good choice. After washing, you can use the spin-dry function and then apply steam and even the wrinkles with iron when it is still wet. Please make sure to set the temperature on iron that is suitable for wool. Better to put a cotton bath towel over the felt when ironing, and do not leave the iron in one spot for more than a few seconds.
Please be noted, because persimmon dye fabric may initially release some of the persimmon juice color, it is recommended not to wash it with other clothing at the beginning.
。Dealing with piling
It is recommended to remove pilling by cutting with scissors or hair trimmer rather than pulling.
。Long-term storage
If not in use for some time, it is recommended to store the belly warmer in a breathable, sealed bag after basic cleaning, to prevent it from molding or insects and household pests damages.
