Krisanteema Shawl Kit

Krisanteema has been inspired by the beauty and intricacy of layered chrysanthemum flower petals, intertwined, and overlapping to create a mesmerizing, soft blossoms.

Inese is fascinated by different contrasting qualities. Contrasting textures emphasize the lacy, scalloped petal panels against the linear ribbing, while gradient contrast colour adds a dimensional feel to the design.

The petal-shaped structure like a double chrysanthemum is one of the most eye-catching parts of the Krisanteema shawl.

Because it is knitted alternately between MC and CC, plus with the shape of the curved petals and changes in density, it not only shows the exquisite pattern, as well as highlight the variegated colors of the CC while smoothly blend in with the MC.

Silky Yak

Krisanteema is specifically designed to highlight the properties of yarns with a high silk content and sheen.

The softness of yak down fiber combined with the sheen and luster of silk makes this a very luxurious fiber combination and provides amazing texture.

It is cool and smooth to the touch and the garment knitted by this yarn will be very light and drape nicely.

Color Options

Krisanteema features a simple ribbing in the main body section, worked in MC, interrupted by more delicate scalloped petal panels alternating between CC and MC.

Using colourways in close hues adds the organic feel of natural petal overlap in the flower and blurs the transition between the two colours, creating a blooming and soft effect.

However, this design is also perfect for combining more contrasting colours - due to its lacy, scalloped petal pattern. You might find your magical color combinition that only you can imagine.
