This is a truly simple beanie. From a handful of yak down, hand-spun into yarn by Tibetan women in our workshop, then hand-knitted into a beanie -- it is that straightforward and direct.
Yet in today's modern world, such simplicity has become rare and precious. A beanie crafted entirely by hand stands in stark contrast to the uniform precision of machine-made yarns, carrying instead a vibrant sense of life and an unrepeatable, imperfect beauty.

*Because the thickness of hand-spun yarn varies and the tension of hand-knitting is never identical, the size of each beanie will also differ slightly.

If you enjoy knitting, you can also purchase the same hand-spun yarn to make your own: Sleek Yak Hand Spun ‧ Bulky
。Cleaning
Beanies made from pure animal fibers can be washed, but please hand wash gently in cold water with a mild detergent. Avoid excessive agitation, as this may cause felting and shrinkage.
For drying, you can use a gentle spin cycle in the washing machine, or press out excess water by hand (avoid wringing). Use a dry towel to absorb as much moisture as possible, then lay flat to air dry in the shade.
Please do not use a dryer or expose directly to sunlight.
。Pilling
All animal fiber products may develop small pills with wear and friction. If you wish to remove them, carefully cut them off with scissors rather than pulling by hand.
。Long-Term Storage
Before storing, gently clean off any dust or dirt. Place the beanie flat in a dust bag to protect it from moth damage. Of course, it’s even better to take it out from time to time, use it, or simply give it a little movement.
