Niji means “rainbow” in Japanese.
While working on the garment, the designer and collaborating editor unexpectedly discovered a rainbow-like motif hidden at the junction of the side seam and sleeve cuff—an enchanting detail that became the inspiration for the piece’s name.

This is a top-down knitted raglan sweater. The designer recalls the first time knitting this style and how deeply the experience left an impression, sparking a lasting love for knitting.

Niji offers a variety of neckline and hem options that can be freely mixed and matched according to personal preference, allowing each maker to create a truly one-of-a-kind piece. Paired with the soft, fluffy charm of coarse-spun lambswool yarn, it is an design that fits effortlessly into everyday life and styling.
